Grant Ranch is a community where neighbors help shape the activities and connections that make this neighborhood special. Many of the clubs and gatherings in Grant Ranch began when a resident simply invited a few neighbors to join them in something they enjoy.
If you have an interest, hobby, or activity you’d like to share, we encourage you to start a club or gathering. Clubs can be social, recreational, educational, or simply a way for neighbors to spend time together.
You don’t need a large group or a formal structure — many clubs start with just a few neighbors and grow naturally over time.
Resident-led clubs and gatherings help make Grant Ranch a welcoming and connected neighborhood. Whether it’s a small group of neighbors walking together or a larger club built around a shared interest, these activities create opportunities for friendships and community.
We encourage residents to bring their ideas forward and help make Grant Ranch an even more vibrant place to live
Tips for Starting a Club
Choose a Simple Idea
Start with an activity you enjoy such as walking, hiking, cards, book discussions, fishing, crafting, music, travel, or game nights.
Start Small
Most clubs begin with just 3–5 neighbors and grow as others hear about it and decide to join.
Keep It Simple
Decide on an easy format such as a monthly meetup, a weekly walk, or occasional gatherings when people are available.
Pick a Consistent Time or Meeting Spot
Choosing a regular day, time, or location helps neighbors plan ahead and makes participation easier.
Be Flexible
Clubs can be seasonal, occasional, or ongoing. There is no requirement for long-term commitments.
Simple Club Ideas
Not every club needs to be large or highly organized. Many Grant Ranch gatherings begin with just a few neighbors who share a common interest.
Here are a few simple ideas residents have suggested:
• Morning or evening walking groups around the lake
• Coffee meetups with neighbors
• Game or card nights
• Wine & dessert gatherings
• Casual sports meetups
• Crafting or creative hobby groups
• Music appreciation or jam sessions
Clubs can meet monthly, seasonally, or whenever neighbors are available. Even a few gatherings a year can help neighbors connect. Consistent gatherings—such as a regular monthly meetup or standing weekly walk—often make it easier for neighbors to build relationships and feel part of the group.
Once you have an idea, there are several ways to connect with neighbors who may be interested:
• Invite neighbors on your street or in your village
• Share the idea with neighbors or community groups

• Ask the Outreach Committee to help spread the word
• Submit your club to be listed on the Grant Ranch Clubs & Activities page
You can also contact Debra Rodarte at the Village Center to request that your club or activity be included in the Grant Ranch community newsletter, which is a great way to reach more residents. Drodarte@grantranch.org
Community interest often grows quickly once a few neighbors get involved.
If you would like your group listed on the Grant Ranch Clubs & Activities page, please submit your club information to GrantRanchOutreach@gmail.com so other residents can learn about it and join.
Typical information for a club listing includes:
• Club name
• Activity or focus of the group
• Typical meeting time or frequency
• Upcoming dates or schedule so events can be added to the Grant Ranch Google Calendar
• Contact person
• Email address for interested participants
Providing upcoming dates allows us to add your gatherings to the community calendar, making it easier for residents to discover activities and participate.
This helps neighbors easily find activities happening throughout the community.
If you have an idea for a club but aren’t sure how to get started, the Community Outreach Committee is happy to help. We can assist with sharing the idea, connecting you with neighbors who may be interested, and helping your club get listed on the website. Email GrantRanchOutreach@gmail.com
