Grant Ranch is a special place because neighbors care about the community and about each other. Getting involved doesn’t have to mean a big commitment — sometimes the smallest actions help create the strongest connections.
Here are a few ways residents are helping build community across Grant Ranch.
Residents organize both informal gatherings and regular activities throughout Grant Ranch. There are many opportunities to meet neighbors with shared interests.
Examples include:

These groups are a great way to meet neighbors and build friendships within the community. New groups form throughout the year as neighbors share ideas and interests.
Coffee in the Park happens on the third Saturday of every month at 9:00 AM.
Neighbors gather to chat, meet new people, and learn what’s happening around the community. Most gatherings last until around 10:30–11:00 AM.
It’s one of the easiest ways to get connected in Grant Ranch.
Grant Ranch volunteers help deliver welcome packets to new residents.
Sometimes this is as simple as stopping by to say hello and helping a new neighbor learn about the community.
A friendly face makes a big difference when someone first moves in.
Many of our newest activities started with one resident asking:
"Would anyone be interested in…?"
If you have an idea for a club, gathering, or event, we’d love to help connect you with neighbors who may want to participate.
Throughout the year residents help with things like:

Grant Ranch has several resident committees that help support the Board and community programs.

Committees typically meet periodically and provide a way for residents to contribute ideas and help guide community decisions.
Grant Ranch includes 21 villages, and we are working to build small networks of neighbors within each village.
Village Leaders help:
• Welcome new neighbors
• Share local information
• Encourage small gatherings
• Help neighbors get connected
This helps strengthen community at a more personal, neighborhood level.
Many events rely on neighbors who help with small tasks such as:
• Setting up tables
• Greeting guests
• Helping with sign-in
• Sharing event information with neighbors
Even helping for 30 minutes can make events possible.
Sometimes the most important step is the simplest one.
Say hello to a neighbor.
Invite someone for a walk around the lake.
Start a conversation.

If you enjoy contributing ideas, helping solve problems, or simply being part of shaping the future of our community, consider joining a committee.
Committees welcome residents with a wide range of interests and experience.
Assists the Board in evaluating landscape and maintenance needs of HOA assets, reviews contractor bids, and helps oversee maintenance projects throughout the community.
Strengthens connections across Grant Ranch by helping neighbors meet one another and building opportunities for community gatherings.
Examples of Outreach initiatives include: Welcome packets for new residents, Community clubs and activities, Coffee in the Park gatherings, Resident information resources, Supporting communication about neighborhood events
Works with the Board to evaluate court operations and maintenance needs and helps plan activities related to tennis and pickleball facilities.
Helps maintain the aesthetic standards of the HOA by reviewing architectural applications for home changes or improvements and ensuring they follow community guidelines.
Supports the Board nomination process and oversees voting for Board members and ratification of the annual HOA budget.
Works with the Board to prepare and review the annual budget, monitor reserve funding, and recommend policies to help maintain the financial strength of the HOA.
Assists the Board in overseeing the Village Center’s technology strategy including website improvements and digital communications.
Evaluates issues related to the lake including recreation, lake quality, habitat improvement, fishing, and overall environmental stewardship of the natural space.
Helps evaluate pool operations, activities, safety, and maintenance needs.
Works with local governments and the community to address traffic and safety concerns and advocate for improvements where needed.
Plans the annual Grant Ranch Veteran’s Day Brunch to honor residents who have served in the military.
Grant Ranch committees are made up of residents who want to help strengthen the community.

We’re always happy to welcome a few additional volunteers who enjoy helping behind the scenes. Opportunities include:

• Helping reach neighbors who may not use social media
We are also looking for Village Block Leaders who would enjoy helping welcome new neighbors when they move into the community. A quick hello and sharing a welcome packet can help new residents feel connected right away.
