Grant Ranch has something rare in Colorado — a private lake.
That’s more than a beautiful view. It’s a unique community asset.
For anglers, the lake represents opportunity, camaraderie, and stewardship. The Grant Ranch Fishing Club is being formed to bring together neighbors who enjoy fishing and want to help care for and improve our fishery.
Whether you have fished for decades or have never cast a line, you are welcome to participate.
We hope to organize a fun, year-round tournament that encourages participation and friendly competition.
Possible features include:
Different species classifications
Seasonal challenges
Bragging rights and trophy fish
Fun competition and potential prizes
The goal is to keep fishing engaging throughout the year.
The club will also be a place where neighbors can connect and learn from each other.
Activities may include:
Sharing tackle tips and techniques
Learning lake-specific fishing strategies
Helping beginners get started
Connecting with other anglers in the neighborhood
Fishing is often better when knowledge and experiences are shared.
A healthy lake benefits the entire community.
The club hopes to encourage thoughtful discussion about:
Fish stocking ideas
Species balance and fish health
Vegetation and lake conditions
Long-term fishery improvement
The goal is to work collaboratively to help maintain a productive and enjoyable fishery.
Access to a private lake in Colorado is extremely unusual. For many anglers — especially those from the Midwest or Northeast — a well-managed private lake with healthy species and even trophy potential can be a major draw for a community.
This club isn’t about looking backward.
It’s about moving forward with shared knowledge, enthusiasm, and stewardship.
If you’re interested in:
Fishing
Learning
Sharing expertise
Improving our lake
Enjoying time outdoors with neighbors
We would love to hear from you.

Whether you’re a seasoned skier, a casual snowboarder, or someone who simply loves the mountains and wants to connect with fellow winter-sports neighbors, this club is a great way to meet others who share the same interest.
The club will provide opportunities to connect with other Grant Ranch residents for ski days, mountain trips, and social gatherings throughout the winter season.

Skill levels and interest groups
Monthly or weekly meetups
Family-friendly vs. adults-only outings

Many great friendships in a neighborhood start with just a few people getting together. This is a simple way to meet nearby neighbors through small coffee meetups, walks, firepits, or casual gatherings.
Complete a short form and we’ll help connect small groups of 4–6 neighbors who live nearby and share similar interests so you can coordinate a relaxed get-together that works for everyone.
We’ll need both hosts and participants to make this work. The form includes optional selections where you can indicate activities you enjoy, whether you might be open to hosting or simply attending, and demographic information if you choose to share.

Grant Ranch Fishing Club – Let’s Build Something Special
Grant Ranch has something rare in Colorado — a private lake. That’s not just a nice view. That’s a true asset.
For those of us who fish, it’s more than water. It’s opportunity. It’s camaraderie. It’s stewardship.
I’d like to start a Grant Ranch Fishing Club built around three core ideas:
Year-Round Friendly Tournament
Different species classifications
Seasonal challenges
Bragging rights, trophy fish, and fun competition and maybe prizes
Camaraderie & Knowledge Sharing
Sharing tackle tips and techniques
Lake-specific knowledge
Helping beginners learn
Learning from each other
Lake Stewardship & Fishery Improvement
Thoughtful discussion around stocking recommendations
Understanding species balance
Addressing lake health issues (including vegetation challenges)
Working collaboratively to make this a more productive and enjoyable fishery
Some residents move here because having access to a private lake in Colorado is extremely unusual. For anglers — especially those from the Midwest or Northeast — a private lake with healthy species and even trophy potential can be a huge draw.
This isn’t about criticism of the past. It’s about moving forward with shared knowledge and enthusiasm.
Whether you’ve fished this lake for decades or have never cast a line — you’re welcome.
If you’re interested in:
Fishing
Learning
Sharing expertise
Improving our lake
Or just enjoying good company outdoors
