Coffee in the Park is a relaxed monthly gathering where Grant Ranch neighbors can meet, chat, and enjoy a beautiful Colorado morning together. There’s no agenda—just a chance to slow down, say hello, and build connections with people who live nearby.

Whether you stay for five minutes or an hour, everyone is welcome.

Looking for a way to get your kids active over the summer? Interested in getting to know other parents in the neighborhood? Wanting to spend a little time in the sun? Look no further than the Grant Ranch Barracudas Summer Swim Team! Summer swim runs from May-July and is a great way to keep your kids active and ensure they have tons of fun while doing it. We are welcoming all children ages 4-18 to join the Barracudas. We are currently a team of about 85 swimmers and we have practices 5 days a week and meets on Saturdays. 

What to Expect: 

• Morning Practice Monday-Friday 

  • 11-18 years old 7:00-8:00am 

  • 6-10 years old 8:00-9:00am

• Evening Practice Monday-Wednesday, all ages 6:30-7:45pm

  • Your swimmer is expected to attend 3+ practices per week to be eligible to swim in meets

• Meets on Saturdays from 7:00-11:00am (approximately) 

• Volunteer commitment for parents 5-6 times over the course of the season 

• Several fun team building events throughout the season

• End of season banquet celebrating your swimmer’s accomplishments

Whether you're a seasoned player or just enjoy tossing a few bags and meeting new people, the league is designed to be welcoming, relaxed, and community-focused.

The Cornhole League is a casual neighborhood league where teams gather to play multiple games each week. It’s a great opportunity to meet neighbors from across Grant Ranch while enjoying a little friendly competition.

Why This Matters

Access to a private lake in Colorado is extremely unusual. For many anglers — especially those from the Midwest or Northeast — a well-managed private lake with healthy species and even trophy potential can be a major draw for a community.

This club isn’t about looking backward.
It’s about moving forward with shared knowledge, enthusiasm, and stewardship.

🎣 Let’s build a club that strengthens both the fishery and the community.

The BHE Garden & Composting Club is a community-led project focused on gardening, composting, sustainability, and bringing neighbors together through hands-on learning and volunteer opportunities. Located at Blue Heron Elementary, the garden is designed to be a shared space where residents, students, and families can help grow flowers, vegetables, pollinator plants, and community connections.

Whether you’re an experienced gardener or just curious about composting and sustainable living, everyone is welcome! The club hopes to provide opportunities for:
• Community gardening days
• Composting education
• Pollinator-friendly planting
• Seasonal garden projects
• Kid-friendly learning opportunities
• Volunteer coordination and garden updates

The Grant Ranch Hiking Club is for neighbors who enjoy getting outside, walking together, and appreciating the beauty around us. It’s a great way to meet new people, enjoy Colorado’s scenery, and spend time in nature.

Our hikes are intended to be leisurely and social, with plenty of time for conversation and community building. All experience levels are welcome.

Monthly Hikes

Date:  2nd Saturday or Sunday of the Month
Meeting Location: Grant Ranch Village Center
Meeting Time: 8:30-9:30 AM Depending on Hike

We will meet at the Village Center and carpool to the trailhead, as parking at the trailhead is limited.

This first hike will be an easy and relaxed walk, perfect for anyone who wants to get outside and connect with neighbors.

Love being on the water or relaxing by the lake with neighbors? The Yacht Club Plus is a fun and welcoming way to enjoy summer in Grant Ranch while connecting with others who share an interest in sailing, paddling, and lake life.

The club meets every Wednesday evening during the summer, rain or shine. Many members head out on the water to sail, kayak, canoe, or paddle, while others simply come to relax, visit with neighbors, and enjoy the beautiful setting.

Members are encouraged to bring their own dinner, and a share table is available for appetizers, desserts, or treats to enjoy together. You don't have to go out on the water to participate—the club is just as much about friendship and community as it is about boating.

Whether you're an experienced sailor, interested in trying something new, or simply looking for a relaxing evening by the lake, everyone is welcome to join the fun!

The Grant Ranch Moms Group is a new resident-led group created to help moms of young children connect, build friendships, and support one another through the joys and challenges of motherhood.

Whether you're a first-time mom, have toddlers, preschoolers, or children just starting school, this is a welcoming, low-pressure space to meet other moms in the neighborhood while the kids play.

The group will provide opportunities for casual park meetups, playdates, seasonal activities, and other social gatherings throughout the year. It's a chance to build your village right here in Grant Ranch.

🎵 A third concert may be scheduled for October (or sooner) depending on community support for this intimate concert experience with top musicians.

The Grant Ranch Poker Club is a resident-led group that brings neighbors together for friendly Texas Hold’em tournaments and social evenings.

Poker nights are a great opportunity to enjoy some lighthearted competition, meet fellow residents, and spend time with neighbors in a relaxed setting.

The club recently held its first tournament with 27 participants (21 Grant Ranch residents) participating in a fun evening of cards, laughter, and great conversation. The strong turnout showed just how much neighbors enjoy opportunities to connect and socialize.  This is an unofficial group led by 4 residents with priority for interested residents as well as some individuals outside the neighborhood.

What to Expect

Poker nights are designed to be casual and welcoming. Future gatherings may include:

• Texas Hold’em tournaments

• Friendly competition among neighbors

Whether you’re a seasoned skier, a casual snowboarder, or someone who simply loves the mountains and wants to connect with fellow winter-sports neighbors, this club is a great way to meet others who share the same interest.

The club will provide opportunities to connect with other Grant Ranch residents for ski days, mountain trips, and social gatherings throughout the winter season.

Introductory Meeting

An informal kickoff meeting will be held to gauge interest and begin shaping what this new club could look like.

This casual gathering will be a chance for residents to meet one another and discuss ideas such as:

Many great friendships in a neighborhood start with just a few people getting together. This is a simple way to meet nearby neighbors through small coffee meetups, walks, firepits, or casual gatherings.

Complete a short form and we’ll help connect small groups of 4–6 neighbors who live nearby and share similar interests so you can coordinate a relaxed get-together that works for everyone.

We’ll need both hosts and participants to make this work. The form includes optional selections where you can indicate activities you enjoy, whether you might be open to hosting or simply attending, and demographic information if you choose to share.

Friendship Building for Adults with Diverse Abilities

At the heart of a great neighborhood is the opportunity for every resident to find friendship and a sense of belonging.

Connection Circle is a new Grant Ranch gathering designed to create a welcoming space where adults with diverse abilities or those who are neurodivergent can build meaningful local friendships and social connections.

About the Facilitator

Karen LeFever – Grant Ranch Resident

Karen is a retired special educator with extensive experience working with adult populations. She is passionate about creating supportive environments where people can connect, share experiences, and feel part of the community.

Karen is volunteering to facilitate quarterly gatherings right here in Grant Ranch.

Our Goal

The goal of Connection Circle is simple:

• Create a safe and supportive environment

• Encourage friendship and belonging

• Provide regular opportunities to socialize
